Book Launch of The Voyage of the Arrogant, written by Norm Gibbons, the first of a trilogy. An amazing book of adventure that explores and honors both the history and geography of the Pacific North West, as well as the rich characters that inhabit it. He kindly asked me to be his opening poet, which I was delighted to do, although nerve wrecking since it was my first big ‘stand up, show up and read’. This well attended event, held on July the 30th, on Cortes Island, kicked off the season on a very high note. Norm is a founder and one of the principle contributors to salmonberry.ca website, where you can find his book and info. We all look forward to the second book due in 2015.
